Hanoverians are pretty horses known for their calm temperament and ability to ride. Like several other breeds, they originated in Germany long before it was called Germany.

History: Hanoverians come from the ancient kingdom of hanover and are recognized by their ideal proportions. Horse breeding has been a prominent industry in the Hanoverian area for over 400 years, with the Hanoverian breed officially established in 1735. Although the primary military objective for breeders was to create a strong and coachable horse, since the mid-twentieth century, the focus shifted to performance. Cavalry units are no longer common or relevant in the military, but some of the features that made Hanoverians preferable for military officers are still desired by riders and performers today. Athleticism is always appreciated, along with trainability and calm demeanor. Farmers continue to be very selective with this horse, resulting in desirable traits from spreading.

Scientific Name: Equus Ferus Caballus

Characteristics: This elegant Hanoverian mare is ready for a show with her tightly braided mane and trimmed tail. With her unique proportions and perfect color, she has a great chance of taking top-notch awards.

Size and Color: It is 15.2 cm long, a little shorter than the length of a DVD case. This Hanoverian mare is a chestnut color with a lighter, almost brown mane and tail, as well as with white socks and hooves.
