The Imperial I-class Star Destroyer is a space destroyer from the Star Wars universe, fighting in the ranks of the Galactic Empire. It first appeared on screen in the film "Star Wars: A New Hope" (I or IV part of the saga). The ship has extensive on-board weapons, including, among others, laser cannons and ion cannons. It is also capable of carrying several dozen TIE fighters and related ships as well as AT-AT and AT-ST walkers. The length of the vehicle reached 1,600 meters. The movement was provided by seven ion engines. Imperial I-class space destroyers were designed at the Kuat Driver Yards and initially built there. They were ordered during the Clone Wars in 19 BBY and later served mainly in the Galactic Empire against the Revolution as the main heavy ship of its fleet. Their main task was to act as flagship units in strike groups, artillery combat with large enemy ships, but also to act as a base ship for ground attacks on foreign planets under the leadership of stormtrooper units and walkers.

The Death Star, officially called the GS-1 Orbital Battle Station, is perhaps the most powerful combat unit from the Star Wars universe. It first appeared on the theatrical screen in the 1977 film "Star Wars: A New Hope". It is believed that the Death Star had - according to different sources - from 120 to 160 kilometers in diameter, with the same height, which made it a practically perfect sphere. The following factories were responsible for the implementation of this extremely complex project: Advanced Weapons Research, Kuat Drive Yards and Sienar Fleet Systems. The crew of this orbital station could consist of more than 1.1 million people[sic!] living creatures. Its main armament was a superlaser (official name: Mark I Super Laser). With this weapon, the Death Star was able to destroy entire planets with one shot, which fully confirmed the correctness of its name. It is worth adding that the Death Star project was created before the Clone Wars, but its implementation lasted from 20 BBY to 9 BBY and was the time of the construction of the hull itself. The superlaser was not installed on the unit until the year 0 BBY. It is also worth adding that the destruction of the Death Star by the rebel forces during the great Battle of Yavin has also become an element of chronology of the history of the Republic and the Empire, because the abbreviation BBY comes from the phrase "Before the Battle of Yavin".
