The Airbus A380 (also known as the Super-Jumbo) is a double-deck, four-engine aircraft. Designed in close collaboration with major airlines, airports and aviation authorities, it is the most advanced, spacious and productive passenger aircraft ever created. The A380 project began in December 2000 and the finished aircraft entered service in early 2006, setting a completely new standard in air travel.
