The True Metallic Metal (TMM) technique seeks to represent realistic metal surfaces using paints with real metallic pigment, rather than simulating metal with flat colors as in Non Metallic Metal (NMM).

TMM allows for natural reflections and a visually striking finish with less pictorial artifice, while retaining the material richness of miniature metal.

To master this technique, it is not enough to use a metallic paint. TMM requires applying the classic principles of light and shadow of volume modeling, working with gradients, transitions and contrasts as in any other non-metallic finish.

Through a structured and coherent approach, based on the BSL (Base – Shadow – Light) model, you can paint metal surfaces with volume, atmosphere and a clear reading of light, without sacrificing the real shine of metal.
