USS Missouri (BB-63) was an American battleship built in 1941, launched in January 1944, and commissioned into the United States Navy in June 1944. The ship was 890 feet (270.4 m) long, 100 feet (33 m) wide, and displaced 58,400 tons (110,000 lb) full load at launch. The top speed of the battleship USS Missouri was up to 33 knots (16 knots). The main armament at launch was nine 16-inch (406 mm) guns in three three-gun turrets, and the secondary armament was primarily twenty 5-inch (127 mm) guns.
