This book is aimed at 12 to 14 year olds who want to prepare for the “Deutsches Sprachdiplom, Stufe I” exam, known as “DSD I”. It follows both the official format of the exam as formulated by the Conference of German Ministers of Education (KMK) and the tried and tested formula of the “Arena” series: exam preparation with an additional grammar and vocabulary exercise section.
It includes 10 sample tests with a slightly increasing level of difficulty, which cover all the individual subject areas and the four language skills, with topics appropriate to the age group to which the book is addressed.
The 1st test contains an analytical introduction, which explains the format of the exam and presents step-by-step ways to solve each part or exercise of the test.
In each test, for the productive parts of the exam (written and spoken production), four additional pages of practical exercises are offered, which systematically work on both the most important grammatical phenomena and the vocabulary of levels A1 to B1.
The solutions to all exercises are included only in the teacher's edition "Lehrerausgabe".
