The Stearman PT-17 Kaydet (also known as the Boeing Stearman) was an American fixed-landing trainer biplane in the classic configuration. The prototype first flew in 1934 and series production began shortly thereafter. It was powered by a single 220 HP Continental R-670-5 engine. The aircraft was 7.54 m long with a wingspan of 9.81 m. The aircraft had no permanent on-board armament.
